FORT LEE, Virginia — Community members on and off post are invited to take part in a virtual Run for the Fallen event Sept. 12-13.
The online observance hosted by Fort Lee Survivor Outreach Services will honor fallen heroes and the family members and friends who survive them.
Participants can run or walk during the two days where they live or – for those who have access to Fort Lee – along a 5K route on post featuring photographs of fallen military service members on display. The on-post option is only available to those authorized access under current health protection guidelines, as detailed at https://home.army.mil/lee/index.php/COVID-19.

Fort Lee, as the Home of Army Sustainment, supports the training, education and development of adaptive Army logistics professionals. Major organizations on the installation include the Defense Commissary Agency, Defense Contract Management Agency, Combined Arms Support Command, the Army Logistics University, U.S. Army Ordnance School, U.S. Army Quartermaster School and U.S. Army Transportation School. Fort Lee supports more than 90,000 Soldiers, retirees, veterans, family members and civilian employees in the local area with a regional economic impact of about $2.4 billion per year.
